Organization Station

It has arrived! The product I have been eyeing for - let's just say a long time - has arrived. It's not that it took a long time to be shipped or anything - it came in about two days. No, I finally decided to purchase it, which is essential to actually receiving it. It's a white board calendar and bulletin board from Pottery Barn. Yes, I love it. My organizationally-obesessed gene is in overdrive with excitement. In all seriousness, I'm excited that we have a place to keep a calendar of all our events besides just my little black book that I carry with me. This way, Casey and I can both see what's going on.

In other organizational news, I am gearing up to use my hand-me-down label machine, courtesy of my parents. Ever since I was young, I have loved to label things. My friend, Meredith, would always make fun of me for this. At at school, every book, binder, notebook and supply was labeled with my name. It's not that I was possessive of my stuff (except maybe the books - I'm protective of books) - it's just that I like labeling things. Now it manifests itself in household organization. I still get giddy about this every time I walk into our office closet:

This organization station was actually on my registry at one point, but the space it was intended for was usurped by my diplomas. Someday, though, when I either 1) have a house with a huge office or 2) have a huge office where I can hang my diplomas, THE ORGANIZATION STATION WILL BE MINE!

My old co-workers bought me a label maker as a going away present. To date, I think it's one of the best presents I've ever receieved.
