Life of Pi: A Review
I just finished reading Life of Pi by Yann Martel. Fifteen minutes ago. Since then, I have been trying to digest everything and savor each bit of the fantastic story. This is one of my favorite books I've read so far this year. Maybe ever. It will have me thinking for a good while about ...everything. I love books that throw out such a sensory experience and then top it off with a completely mind-engaging ending. This book was a tale of faith and story that was at times grotesque, thrilling, depressing, magical and very real. I loved this book. I borrowed the copy I read but really, it's a book that I wouldn't mind having on my shelf to revisit in a couple of years. Or to loan out to others...because if you haven't read it, you should.
