A Fortunate Lunch

Our office staff went to eat at P.F. Chang's today for lunch. We were rewarding ourselves for a job well done on a huge project. The food was good and fun was had by all, but when the waitress brought out the check she forgot to bring out our fortune cookies. We didn't want to leave without our fortune cookies - more because of the actual fortunes than the cookies. So we sat, and sat, and waited but we never saw our waitress. Finally she glanced over at our table and there we were sitting with our take-out cartons in front of us looking expectantly in her direction. She didn't say anything but came back with our fortune cookies - just knowing that's what we were waiting for. My fortune is pretty much my motto: "Good luck is the result of good planning." And my chinese word for the day is "supervisor" or "shang si." Whew! So glad we waited for that. I don't know how I could have gone on without knowing my fortune, my word for the day or my lucky numbers.
