Quote, End Quote

Have you ever noticed that when some people use the phrase, "quote, end quote" in speaking, that they often say, "quote on quote," which is not correct at all? I do notice this.

I think people who whip in and out of cars during rush hour traffic are still going nowhere fast. Don't they know what traffic means? I guess maybe they think they can conquer it one car at a time.

Speaking of traffic...why do some cops sit and clock people stuck in traffic when those cars can't even go the speed limit let alone exceed it? And you'd think that they would be checking out windshields for expired registration or something since the cars are going so slowly, but I've seen them with their radar guns out on more than one occasion. Strange.

Here's my favorite quote from the book I just read, Atonement: "How guilt refined the methods of self-torture, threading the beads of detail into an eternal loop, a rosary to be fingered for a lifetime."

Also, I'm in love with those steam-fresh frozen veggies that you steam right in their bag in the microwave. They're wonderful.
