Deception?

I had to have my rear passenger tire replaced last weekend because we found a screw in the side of the tire. When I was filing the receipt the other day, I looked over it and saw a charge for $23.98 for a tire replacement and protection plan. A plan that I did not ask for. A plan that they did not ask if I wanted or not. Obviously this is something I should have looked over more carefully before paying, but we were on our way to a wedding and uncharacteristically, I didn't look at the bill then. Irritating.

Also, it kind of upsets me when I find something on ebay (or Amazon) for a too-good-to-be-true price only to find out in the check-out that the shipping costs more than the item itself. It's how the seller tries to draw you in but still maintain their pricing. Just list your price and charge regular shipping prices, please.

Who orders those things from Amazon for which the shipping is way too high? I guess someone does or they would not list it that way.
