I've been in a baking frenzy lately. Pumpkin stuff, cinnamon stuff. Lots of good stuff. Inspired by my favorite wallflower scent from Bath and Body Works: Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin. Yes, it smells just as good as it sounds. I could almost use it all year long.
I completely missed the fact that Columbus Day was on Monday. I must have checked my mail about 5 times before I realized it. I love mail. It helps that I don't get any bills in the mail anymore...just my email inbox.
I'm in the midst of buying Christmas gifts and it is my goal to be done by the end of October. I think I can do it.
Being at home all day sure makes it easier to get to know your neighbors. Especially those that are also home all day. I've had more conversations with neighbors while Ethan and I have been hanging out in our front yard in the past four months than I have in the past four years that we've been living in our house.
I want to plant some mums in my pots. Will I get around to it? That is the question.

I am so excited because Steve and I just made the decision we are not buying Christmas presents this year and giving a card to family that tells them money has been donated in their name to a family who would not have had Christmas unless we had helped. I can feel all the stress of picking out gifts relased already and looking forward to blessing someone else. Hope I can handle no presents under the tree :)
Have you had any butternut squash soup yet? I think that might be the official signal of fall's arrival! World Market has an organic butternut squash soup that is so good! YUM!

I love wallflowers! My favorite is Creamy Nutmeg. In fact, today I went to B&BW to get one for my friend's birthday, and they have Vanilla Bean Noel -- my absolute favorite scent of ALL TIME. :) They are amazing, and I will never buy any other wall air freshener. I love the fact that I can smell it every single time I walk in the door from outside!
