Yesterday I put on a pair of casual brown pants that I've had for at least a year. And I saw something to which I've been previously completely oblivious...the sewn-in security tag which reads, "remove before washing or wearing." Oops. I missed the boat on that one. By about a year and who knows how many washings. And it's not the first time it's happened. I much prefer these type of security tags to the ones that the sales people have to remove...but I'm not doing my part apparently. They're just so darn sneaky, those tags.

Sounds like they are from Old Navy. I've done that before.
I was just going to say Old Navy is a boogar about it. I have set off so many alarms - particulary at Barnes and Noble b/c of my Old Navy tags I forget to cut out. :) Very common mistake.
I've done that so many times. Particularly with the Banana Republic clothes. They're so easy to miss until they poke you right in the side.
