This and That

Apparently, a woman named Charlene had our phone number before us. I would say that a good 30% of all the calls we receive are for her.

Yesterday when I went to get the mail, as I lifted it out of the mail box, I saw two itty bitty eyes staring back at me. A small lizard was on top of my pile of mail. Scared me to death, to say the least. But I pulled it together long enough to lower him to the ground and watch him scurry away.

I cannot take my shoes off in the house anymore without putting them up in the closet immediately. When I leave them by the bottom of the stairs (like I usually do), Ethan will always bring them to me, one at a time, and put them on my feet.

This week, I stripped, scaled down, and re-covered a cornice board that was hanging in our living room when we bought the house. It was teal and pink. Classic '90's. I may post pictures of before and after later.
