This Christmas

We thought last Christmas was fun with Ethan (and it was), but this year is even more fun. The lights, the fires in the fireplace, the music, the decorations...he's able to react to it with more enthusiasm than he did as a 7 month-old last year. Ethan is thrilled with the Christmas lights on the tree and outside. He loves his light-up Christmas books from Mimi and Nonna (his grandmas). He loves to point at the decorations on the tree and he has even learned to be very gentle (although none of them are breakable). I love seeing his reactions to things like they're the best things he's seen all day.

And then there's his Little People Nativity set. Goodness, that child loves anything that has to do with Little People and the nativity is no exception. He carries those people and animals around all day long. They go on all sorts of adventures around the house. He lines them up on the stairs, the window sills, and the coffee table. He even likes to put baby Jesus back in the barn before he goes to bed at night. And he knows that Mary and Joseph go in there with him. It has been a great tool to teach him about the story of Jesus's birth. In fact, as I'm writing this, he's playing with it in here in the office.

cute pics!
the best thing about the little people nativity, as my kids have discovered, is that not only the angel goes on top of the stable...they like putting the different animals up there.

So sweet! We have those same jammies for JD this year. And we have found our Little People Baby Jesus in all sorts of strange places...most recently in our refrigerator water dispenser.
