Swingset Build

Last Saturday, we had a whole crew at our house to put together Ethan and Logan's swingset (although Ethan will enjoy it more in the short-term than Logan). It could not have been a better day for the build...the weather was gorgeous all day. My dad, Casey's dad, my grandpa, and my uncle Steve were all there to put the thing together.

Here's the crew (minus, Larry, Casey's dad...they were on their way) at the start of the day with a pile of lumber at their feet.

Ethan was a big help with his plastic tools.

After sorting the wood pieces, reading the instructions carefully, and levelling the base, things started to take shape quickly.

Ethan could not wait until it was finished to try it out. This is his first time down his new slide.

Here's the crew (minus my grandpa, who had to leave before this) right before everyone started packing up for the day. As you can see, they pretty much finished it. There are just a few minor things left for Casey and I to tackle this weekend. Casey and I owe a huge thanks to these guys for spending their day in our backyard putting together a swingset for a thrilled little boy.

Ethan is over the moon for his new swingset. We were out there all day on Monday...thank goodness for the great weather that day. I forsee many more days of fun outside on the "playground" as Ethan calls it.
