(This photo was taken a few months ago when our grass was still green, but I don't think I ever shared it. I particularly love it because that is Ethan's genuine, sweet smile.)
I don't know if the big mouth is mine or Ethan's because most of the things he says he learns from me or Casey! If I ever wondered if he's listening to me, then I should just review these instances:
When I bumped my head this morning in the closet, Ethan said, "Sorry, mommy. I kiss it for you." Then he kissed my head and said, "all better!"
Last night while we were waiting for Casey to get home from work, Ethan said, "When daddy get here to mommy's house?" For the record, I never call our house "my house." He came up with this one all on his own!
The other day Casey and I were having a "discussion" about something and I got frustrated and raised my voice. Ethan waved his finger back and forth at me and said, "mommy, don't talk like that. Ok?" (This one was, admittedly, a little humbling.)
In our closet this morning Ethan wanted to tell me a story and he started it like this..."Once upon a time there was a little boy named daddy and he went to work." This is cute if you know the background...almost every day after coming home from work, Casey will tell Ethan a story in our closet as he changes out of his work clothes. He always starts the stories with, "once upon a time, there was a little boy named Ethan..."

Love it!
Our kids think it is their house! :)
Oh my goodness, those are cute! That's funny about the "discussion." Dustin and I got into a little argument where I raised my voice more than normal and from the back seat of the car, Ashton said, "Hey, hey... Mommy BE NICE." He says "hey" to get our attention. I'm not quite sure how to break him of that, hmmm...
