Back from NYC

Casey and I just returned today from a 4.5 day trip to New York City. Thus the recent silence on the blog. It was just the two of us and the big city. We had the best time. If it had not been for the boys, we would not have wanted to leave. Even then...just kidding! We were so ready to see those two! 

We're now facing the realities of life smack in the middle of the week. Casey has to go to work tomorrow. Ethan has to go to preschool and he has his end of the year program tomorrow night. Even though I'd kind of like a day (or two) to re-enter reality slowly, it's not going to happen. At least my mom washed all the boys clothes for me (she and my dad kept the boys for us). Casey's mom did the same thing the last time we went on vacation and they kept Ethan. Bless them both. Our moms know a thing or two.

It's just plain weird waking up in New York City and going to bed in your own home. I always think about that when coming/going on a trip. 

Casey and I are so refreshed from our fun time together. In fact, it will be weird to be apart tomorrow since we've spent so much time together in the past few days. The boys and I will have to get back into a rhythm here at home since they've been at Mimi and Pop's house. And then there's the 900 or so photos from our trip to sort through. So, more of those and details of the trip as time (and life) allows.
