New Things

It's high time for another list - this one is comprised of things I have recently discovered that I like:

1. Red Tea (Rooibos). It's an herbal tea from S. Africa and it's naturally caffiene-free.

2. Avocados. I used to hate them - even guacamole - and yes, I had tried it before. But something happened to my taste buds and now I really like avocados and guacamole.

3. Pilot G-2 Gel Pens. The greatest pens ever. Plain-old ball point pens just won't do and usually gel or rollerball pens would skip sometimes. These beauties are lovely and consistent. I'm sort of picky about pens.

4. Electric Stapler. I sort of feel like the guy on Office Space who is in love with his red stapler. Mine is electric (obviously) and cordless and awesome! I keep a close eye on it at work.

5. Rain. I have always liked rain but I never thought I would like this much of it. But, I haven't had to water my plants in about two months, my sprinkler system for my lawn has been completely off and the days have definitely been cooler than normal June days here. Truth be told, I am a sunny-day kind of girl, so I will be looking forward to that also - whenever that may be.

you should probably use your label maker to put your name on your electric stapler. Just a thought...

Pilot G-2 Gel Pens are the only ones I'll write with at work. I recently discovered that they come in a rainbow of colors. Yay for color coordination!

I have really like the rain lately too! Chris and I were just talking a couple of nights ago about how much we have liked it. We said it would drive us nuts if it rained all the time like it did in Seattle, but it has been nice for this short time. And especially because of the cooler temperatures.

I'm with you on the Rooibos and the Avocados. I hated guacamole (I think it was a texture thing) for years, but then we had some students in Oxford who loved tex-mex and they showed me how to make a good batch. Now I eat them on sandwiches, salads, in omlettes...mmmm.
