A Shelby Saturday

Last Saturday we celebrated Father's Day with my dad and family at my parents' house. We had beef tenderloin from Perini Ranch and my goodness, was it tasty! Then, I spent the day with my 11-year-old cousin, Shelby, who was visiting from Nashville. We had a great time watching movies, playing games (she beat me soundly at Harry Potter Scene It), and swimming.

The mosquitos were out in full force that afternoon and I had decided not to spray myself with mosquito repellent because I would be in the water, which, of course, they like. I was under the water the whole time we were out there except from my neck up. And that's where they bit me - on my head - at least 6 times. Finally, I sprayed my face (eyes closed), hair and neck with the repellent even though it says not to spray your head - it worked.

How could she possibly be 11? I remember her toddling around the cabin in Colorado . . . man I'm getting old!

Perini Ranch ... excuse me while I wipe up my drool. Brandon and I have to pay an astronomical amount of money for a decent steak here in Utah. There's nothing quite like a good Texas steak.
