Office Artifacts

I realized that in the office where I work - a small business office - we have two things which would be considered artifacts in a modern office space: the rolodex and the typewriter. Yes, we have (and still use on occasion) a typewriter. And the rolodex. When I realized this, I thought about ways to eliminate these two out-dated tools from our office completely. It can be done, but it won't be easy. And not because the technology to replace them isn't there. It's because some people would rather have a root canal than implement any kind of change. So, I'll see what I can do to stir things up! Oh, it'll be fun!

I wouldn't survive without my rolodex! It's so much quicker for me to access that than anything on my computer (as we have ancient operating systems which lock us out of windows after 15 minutes of being idle).

You go! I love my Outlook address book and calendar. They are my lifeline!

Not sure what to do about the typewriter, though... sometimes it's easier to fill out forms, etc. with a typewriter.
