Instant Artwork

I did some things in Ethan's nursery this weekend. I had been having trouble finding something that I liked to put up on the walls. Then, somehow I got the idea to take some pages from children's books and frame them. It worked great - even though I had to force myself to destroy a few books to do it. I raided Half Price Books and a craft store for the books, frames and mats. This was an easy and inexpensive solution to my wall art issue and I'm really pleased with the results. I was going to frame some with words, but ended up just liking the pictures better.

Great idea! As simple as it seems, I probably would have never thought of that. I know a couple who bought two of the same blankets and cut one of them up to frame squares of it.

I love the pictures! They look fabulous. I have always wanted to frame some of the beautiful artwork I see in children's books, but never have. I guess I am like you, I just don't want to destroy a lovely book. Great idea to get some at Half Price!

Too cute! I love that idea. Maybe I can find a barnyard animal book at Half Price and come up with a similar idea. Love it!

Fabulous idea. Tell me you visited the NICIL, while we lived in Abilene.
