Lake House Vacation

We spent this past week at my parents' lake house for our family vacation this year. This was the first time for us to travel just the three of us and we had a great time. There are some vacations that are meant for going, seeing, and doing...like Europe, New York City, and Disney World. And then there are some vacations that are meant for not doing...anything. That's what we did...or didn't do as the case may be. This was pretty much our daily schedule:

Wake up, eat breakfast, play with Ethan outside, put Ethan down for his morning nap, read during his nap, eat lunch, go swim at the pool for a couple of hours, put Ethan down for his afternoon nap, read during his nap, go swim at the pool for a couple of hours when he wakes up, take showers and clean up, feed Ethan dinner, play with Ethan, put him down for the night, eat dinner, go watch a movie in the media room.

We followed that exact pattern almost every single day. And it was glorious. So relaxing and perfect.

Love the pictures, glad you had a great time! Doing nothing has such wonderful value, doesn't it?
