Did your mom ever say to you, "hay is for horses" when you would call out "hey!" to someone? Mine did. I realize that is a completely random thought, but it's what popped into my mind when I was going through the photos I took the last time we were at the lake house (in January...just me and the boys.)
After we fed the horses again (at the barn this time), I made the boys take a few photos. Here they are on top of a bunch of hay (thus leading my mind to the title of this post). Ethan loved it up there...he wanted to live up there and did not want to get down. Logan...who was both tired and not feeling well...could take it or leave it.
Logan would not let go of those carrots in his right hand. He didn't eat them, and he wouldn't go near the horses to feed them, but he had to have the carrots in his hand.
And Ethan did not want to take a photo at all. I can't remember what I said to him, but eventually he gave up this forced smile so we could be on our way. I guess I'll take it.
