However you say it, I love Fridays. There are so many reasons. Despite my usual tendency to be most happy when something is done and accomplished, I love the prospect of a weekend all laid out in front of me. The beginning of it...the promise and expectation. It doesn't matter if I'm looking forward to plans that we have, or the fact that we don't have any plans, or the opportunity to actually get stuff done.
Friday mornings I wake up ready to get to work, knowing that the evening will come quickly and it will be the beginning of two whole days off from work! I just realized that I have always had short Fridays at work or school. In high school, we were done at 1:45 (a good 90 minutes early) on Fridays. In college, I never had a Friday afternoon class. And at my current job, we leave at 3:00 pm on Fridays. Hmmm...Fridays are good!

I've always loved Fridays. The promise of the weekend is exciting, and so different from the everyday ordinary weekdays. Even though I don't "get off work" these days, it's great knowing Cody is going to be home with us for two days and our schedule is going to be different.
Fridays are my favorite as well, and always have been! I also get off early on Friday afternoons...that definitely makes the weekend seem longer when you actually have 2.5 days...
I love friday's as well; The anticipation usually started on Thursday; I would get everything ready for the weekend! Grocery shop, cook, clean house etc. I always looked forward to when your dad would get home and we could spend some family time together; it is different than work days and I always looked forward to the weekend time with great expectation, even if we did not have anything planned to do; I rmember the time in the smalll pool in the back yard, playing with the dogs, shooting off rockets in the vacant lot, riding bicycles, and lots of other stuff; Great memories! Hopefully we can look forward to some weekend time at the lake!
