Thanksgiving 2011

Well, now that's it's December it seems that everything is full speed ahead toward Christmas. But I haven't posted any Thanksgiving photos yet! And we had two wonderful days with each side of our family. Wonderful weather, fun games, and fabulous food. So, allow me to slip these in before we are too far into this month!

First up...the Fair Thanksgiving. We tried a new dressing this year with our turkey. Williams-Sonoma's Herbed Quinoa and Red Rice Stuffing. It was a success. Along with ALL the other food. I made something new too...Picky Palate's Double Chocolate Pumpkin Cake with Pumpkin Spice Buttercream. It pretty much lives up to it's name...fabulous. We watched a little football (soccer) since the football (Cowboy) game didn't come on until later. Logan had his lunch after his nap since he was too tired to eat when we did. My brother Kevin, and his wife, Jill, were there too...they just somehow escaped the photos.

Next up, the Cooke Thanksgiving. We had a superstar lineup of food including Casey's all-time favorite...his Memaw Price's dressing accompanied by Grandaddy's amazing turkey. My favorite was the caramel cheesecake, but we all know I have a serious sweet tooth. The guys played 42 and there was a little football thrown in there. The big hit for Ethan was playing with his cousins. They are all older than him but are so sweet with him because they totally play along in his pretend world. And the trampoline. He could not get enough of both of those things.
