We had a lot going on today. Last day of school (hooray!), hair cuts, dropping off Duke at the pet "resort" because we are leaving on vacation tomorrow. So, when the boys asked to splash around in the river of water running down our street after yet another hard rain this spring, my first thought was, "absolutely not!"
Even without a lot to do, my default is to not get wet, dirty, etc. But, I am getting better at saying, "why not?" Which is what I said two seconds after they asked. Logan hadn't even changed out of his PJ's from this morning.

We spent maybe 10 minutes out there before the river all but disappeared. When we first got home and saw it, it was kind of raging down the street. It had just stopped raining. But apparently, our drainage system works pretty well, because before we knew it, there was just a little water left.
